Puzzles and panic
Updated: Jun 14
Just kidding about the panic part.
I bought a beautiful 1,000 piece puzzle just in time for social distancing. It is a lovely river/tree nature landscape. I can't wait to start on it tonight. I woke up around 7 and went to work at 8:30. I always yearn to steam some milk.. or make a pour-over after I've had a few days off, so I enjoyed myself. Weird, I know.
On Saturdays we serve toast on homemade sourdough bread, again, another product of Ally's talent. Anyways, this lady called in her order for curbside, I could tell just by her tone of voice that she seemed really worried about the pandemic. So when she arrived I made sure I had a sanitizing wipe with me to wipe her card really well before handing it back to her. Which by the way, she had taped her debit card to a rolled magazine page and handed it to me that way. I 100% understand her caution and it was nice to see someone taking this thing seriously.
Upon arriving home, I picked up my merlin dulcimer and may not have put it down for two hours.. I learned a very bluesy chord progression and Landslide, because it's a classic. I am so enjoying this instrument. I even repotted the plant I was telling you all about and decided on putting it in the sunshine afterwards. Not even 30 minutes passed, it had wilted. I watered it a trickle and it almost instantly perked back up. I believe it is safe to say that it prefers the window sill. Oh I even took a bubble bath for the first time in a long time. I had a candle and my kindle and read a bit. Once I was a human raisin I got out.
Music from today... This playlist from the new Netflix show, I am Not Okay with This. https://open.spotify.com/playlist/5uxYltykkf7EQUESFtao33?si=mLWhe3ZQRRGqBoknu4c7IA
which I binged watch the night it came out..
Belmopan, Belize on film. Another one shot on my Nikkormat EL.
Now I bid thee farewell, as I set off to have a bit of leftover stew and begin my puzzle.
